Welcome to Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center!

Grab your binoculars and come explore the breathtaking tallgrass prairie. There are lots of things to see at any time of the year.

  • The trail system is a series of mowed trails through the grasses. They wind through beautiful stands of grasses and wildflowers, the riparian areas of Spring Creek, around wetlands and ponds, and up and down some not-so-steep hills.

  • The paved trail leading from the parking lot to the visitor center is accessible, as are the limestone-covered trails just beyond the visitor center. A wheelchair is available for use. Get to know more about the visitor center here.

  • One path leading from our parking lot going north is bike and animal friendly, but the other trails are for pedestrians only.

  • One trail leads to the wagon ruts from a cutoff to the Oregon Trail.

  • Visitors are welcome to wander off the trails.
