The Trinity River Audubon Center offers a wide variety of programs, whether you’re a teacher, birder, or outdoor enthusiast, we have something for everyone!
Our Eco-Investigation field trips are offered to students all across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, offering a variety of TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) aligned lessons that immerse students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. We see students located in Dallas, Carrollton, Forney, Allen, Grand Prairie, Garland, Mesquite, Highland Park, DeSoto, Arlington, Midlothian, Waxahachie, Lewisville, Irving, Garland, Richardson, Fort Worth, and other surrounding cities.
For families seeking a more personalized learning experience, our Homeschool Programs provide interactive lessons that encourage curiosity and stewardship. These programs are a great way for students to deepen their understanding of the natural world while engaging directly with the habitats and species that make Texas unique.

World Migratory Bird Day – Join us for a global celebration of birds through guided hikes, activities, and educational booths that highlight the importance of bird conservation.
Flock Party – A lively spring community event filled with nature activities, local partners, and family fun celebrating birds and the habitats they call home.
Nature Unidos – A bilingual community event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and the important role of Latinos in environmental stewardship.

Birds & Brews Trivia Night – A fun evening of nature trivia in partnership with local organizations, combining learning with community and conservation.
Girl & Boy Scout Programs – Specialized programs designed to help Scouts earn badges while engaging in outdoor learning and conservation projects.
Spring Break and Summer Camps – Week-long adventures filled with exploration, discovery, and outdoor fun for children eager to connect with nature.
Night Hikes & Seasonal Walks – Guided evening programs that explore the forest after dark, perfect for families and curious explorers.
Webinars & Virtual Programs – Online learning experiences that bring the wonders of the Trinity River Audubon Center directly to your home or classroom.
