Get Involved at Trinity River Audubon Center
Give back, use your skills, and learn more about the wild side of Dallas by volunteering with us.
Whether you want to give back to your community by helping on the trails, digging deep into habitat restoration, or assisting with field trips and programs, we appreciate your interest and would love to have your help! Learn more about the opportunities we offer, what to expect, and how to apply below.
For all volunteer opportunities, training and supplies are provided by Audubon staff.
Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals
Habitat Restoration: Depending on the center’s needs at the time, you will assist with invasive plant species removal, plant propagation, prairie planting, and/or general upkeep of our pollinator gardens
Front Desk: Be part of our center's welcome committee! Help guests with check-in and registration and general information at our front desk and get them ready to have fun out on the trails.
Education: From field trips for students to bird walks on the weekends, there are lots of ways to assist with environmental education!

Support the Science
Group Volunteer Opportunities
Is your team or organization ready to help out in a BIG way? Plan a Habitat Work Day and use your muscle to benefit our native ecosystems! Group volunteers assist with tasks like clearing and expanding existing trails, removing invasive species, and large-scale plantings. All activities are guided by staff and can vary due to seasonality and weather. Use this form to contact our Habitat Management team and we'll get in touch with next steps and more information.
