Birds of Seward Park

Birding at Seward Park is always a unique experience. With a variety of habitats, including old-growth forest, open woodlands, and shorelines, an incredible diversity of birds call this place home for at least a portion of the year. In fact, more than 100 species have been spotted in Seward Park, 40 of which are waterfowl!

A day in the park can introduce you to everything from Anna's Hummingbirds to Barred Owls, Pileated Woodpeckers, and Bald Eagles. Come into the center and we'll tell you the best viewing areas for these species, including the location of our eagle nest!
