Red-lored Amazon
A simple vista
13" (33 cm). Mostly green with red forehead, blue crown and in some subspecies yellow cheeks. Males and females appear the same. Juveniles are similar but noticeably green on the head. Dark edging on the feathers of the crown and breast create a slightly scalloped effect. Gray bill graduating to horn yellow at the base of the upper mandible. White eye ring around a yellow to orange eye.
