A simple vista

Esta tórtola es muy común en el este de Asia y migratoria en la parte norte de su zona de distribución, y ejemplares extraviados han llegado hasta Alaska muchas veces. Se han avistado otros ejemplares en América del Norte, pero puede que se tratara de aves que habían escapado del cautiverio.

Descripción

This is a common dove throughout most of Asia, and occasionally strays to Alaska or the Pacific coast of North America. Accepted records of wild vagrants to North America exist, and it is near certain that some sightings are of wild individuals. Oriental Turtle-doves are also kept in captivity, and other sightings may pertain to escaped captives, especially away from the West Coast or in the vicinity of possible escape sites..
