Kelly Adams

Vice President, Campaigns and Capacity Building

As Vice President for Campaigns and Capacity Building, Kelly Adams is leading the planning, design and execution of Audubon’s first-ever comprehensive development campaign. This includes the development of state-based campaign strategies as well as campaign frameworks to support accelerated fundraising for the organization’s core conservation and advocacy priorities. Additionally, Kelly is focused on driving the integration of development efforts across the network. This involves building systems, policies, and tools while partnering with her colleagues on the Development leadership team to institutionalize the work, develop revenue plans and fundraising strategies, and assess and develop talent. She also supports the Chief Development Officer in maximizing the role of Audubon’s executive and volunteer leadership in fundraising.

Kelly joined Audubon in early 2018 after nearly a decade as a consultant, most recently with Development Guild, a national firm that partners with leading nonprofits to deliver the strategy, talent, and philanthropic resources. There she collaborated with dozens of clients to develop and execute fundraising and campaign strategies, recruit, and manage development teams. She worked with a variety of organizations including Make a Wish Foundation of America, Montefiore Medical Center, Partners in Health, The Nature Conservancy in New York, and the University of Massachusetts Foundation. Earlier in her career, Kelly worked in leveraged finance for JPMorgan where she helped originate, structure, and execute leveraged loans and high yield bonds for the bank’s corporate clients.
