Mitchell Lake Audubon Center’s Homeschool Adventures is a set of outdoor, nature-based education classes for homeschool children ages 6-12. 
FREE for Family-level Members | $6 for General | $24 for set of 5 classes - Last session is FREE when you sign up for all 5 sessions this school year!

Classes will be held every other month from 9:30-10:30 on the designated date. Each class covers a different topic and includes hands-on learning and exploration into conservation at Mitchell Lake.

October 18 - Pollinators, Plants, and You: Learn about different pollinators in our area, their importance to their environment and us!

December 13 - Duck Day!: Learn about the ducks that visit or call Mitchell Lake Audubon Center home.

February 14 - We Love Our Wonderful Wetlands: Celebrate World Wetlands Day! Learn about the importance of our wetland habitat to wildlife and people.

April 10 - Migration Celebration: Migration comes with many challenges! Learn why birds migrate and explore some challenges that they face and how we can help them on their journey.

June 12 - How Do Animals Keep Cool? Learn about different physical and behavioral adaptations that wildlife use to beat the summer heat!
