Gadalia O’Bryan

As Vice President of Data & Analytics, Gadalia provides strategic thinking and leadership for the National Audubon Society's data and analytics work. She oversees enterprise data engineering, reporting, data science, analytics, and GIS functions, including the Dangermond Fellowship program. Gadalia’s career has been spent leading impactful data, machine learning, and security initiatives that deliver innovative solutions with real business and mission value. She served as a crypto-mathematician at the National Security Agency (NSA) for nearly a decade where she also led production data architecture projects and large-scale security evaluations. Gadalia left the federal government to join the private sector as an executive for a big data software startup where she built a profitable consulting practice from the ground up. After 7 years in the commercial realm, she joined the National Audubon Society to impact the mission of wildlife conservation, which has always been a driving force in her personal life.

In addition to her official duties, Gadalia has a broader interest in data ethics and using data for good. She also places immense value on fostering entrepreneurship and interest in STEM fields through individual mentoring and as a mentor for tech accelerators such as Techstars.

Gadalia has a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an M.A. in Mathematics from UCLA, specializing in Algebraic Topology.
