Seen any Pacific-slope Flycatchers lately?

Kim Geissler saw seven at Starr Ranch on the last MAPS banding day there on June 15. The Pacific-slope Flycatchers were just one thirty-one species seen or captured at the banding station.

Twenty-two birds of eleven species were caught on the banding day (13 new birds, 6 recaptures and 3 undbanded birds). Six of these birds hatched this spring, compared to only one hatch year bird during the previous banding session. Two of the recaptured birds, an Orange-crowned Warbler and a Common Yellowthroat, were first banded in 2015.

Kim and the staff at Starr Ranch send a big Thanks to everyone who volunteered, and a special thanks to Marcus Goncalves for providing the great photos.
