Education in the Great Plains

Our Goals
Engage diverse audiences to inspire environmental stewardship, foster responsibility for natural resources, and promote healthier, more sustainable communities and economies.
What We’re Doing
Across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska, staff and volunteers engage people of all ages through summer camps, community events, and volunteer opportunities that explore the wonder of Great Plains birds.

By inspiring more people in more places to value and protect the natural world, we are laying the foundation for future conservation. Audubon Centers and Sanctuaries are one of the principal elements of our education work. They have inspired more than 10 generations of Americans to learn about and protect birds, other wildlife, and the natural world. Our network reaches more than a million visitors each year.
