Audubon is a respected and influential voice on public policy issues. Our balanced approach has advanced protections for millions of acres of wetlands across New York State, and ensured funding for environmental conservation remains a priority in the state budget. At Audubon, we begin with science, and follow birds—advocating for the highest priorities that help stop their declines.

Audubon Council 2024-2026 Policy Resolutions
The Audubon Council of New York State represents the 26 locally affiliated chapters of the National Audubon Society. Together, they have identified the priority issues affecting local birds, and the actions that would help resolve them.
