Carrie Mohanna is Audubon Florida’s senior coordinator of special projects, overseeing the Center for Birds of Prey's volunteer program, Jay Watch, and planning of the annual Audubon Florida Assembly. As the Center's volunteer coordinator, she facilitates the scheduling, training, and appreciation for our 100+ volunteers that help us with every aspect of operations.
Prior to joining our team, Carrie spent 15 years with the Orange County Environmental Protection Division leading the volunteer and internship initiatives. Prior to that position, she was at Florida Atlantic University’s Pine Jog Environmental Education Center in West Palm Beach. During that time, she created environmental service-learning opportunities for students and teachers to become civically engaged in their communities.
Carrie is a Florida native with 25 years of experience in the environmental field. Originally from Central Florida, she graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology/Biological Conservation and a minor in Anthropology. She is passionate about conservation and community involvement, and is thrilled to begin a career with Audubon Florida.
