Darienne Purtz joined the Audubon team in October 2025. As a Research Associate, she is the lead on several monitoring programs and assists with prescribed fire.
Darienne joins us from Akron, Ohio, and received her BS degree from The Ohio State University in environmental science, specializing in ecosystem restoration. She brings her experience of working on Lake Erie with waterfowl, sustainability in tire production, and wildlife research with Iowa State University.
