Emma Denes is an early-career environmental journalist based just outside Princeton, New Jersey. A graduate student in the virtual MA in Science Writing program at Johns Hopkins University, she writes about biodiversity conservation, climate change, and marine biology. Previously, she served as the Ocean Science Writing Intern for the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and led Marist University's student newspaper as Editor-in-Chief.
