Jill Mastrototaro is the Mississippi Policy Director for Audubon Delta, where she shapes a dynamic agenda to advance water, conservation, and climate priorities across Mississippi, the Gulf Coast, and the Mississippi Flyway.

Jill brings over 25 years of environmental nonprofit experience leading campaigns and programs that have achieved victories for wildlife and communities in the Deep South and nationally. This track record reflects her knack for integrating policy, science, communications, and advocacy with an ability to build a broad network of bipartisan policymakers, natural resource agencies, community partners, and others.

Her work at Audubon has included safeguarding globally important bird habitat through the Clean Water Act, securing one of the nation’s most equitable rooftop solar policies, and steering tens of millions of dollars to coastal restoration projects. Prior to joining Audubon, her work involved shaping a resilient recovery in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, securing science-driven recovery projects following the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster, and protecting iconic cypress forests from corporate logging.

A New England native, Jill has a Master's in Environmental Policy and a B.S. in Environmental Science. She is a board member of Pearl Riverkeeper, and she co-founded the Land Trust for Louisiana, which has protected 15,000 acres of imperiled lands and waters. She is based in Jackson, MS.
