Jodi Pinder
Jodi Pinder is the Project Associate with Audubon California, where she supports the Working Lands program, including projects on Tricolored Blackbird conservation efforts and habitat enhancement projects for Central Valley wetlands. Her work aims to improve the use of land for the benefit of birds, enhance managed wetlands, ensure adequate habitat for migratory birds, and improve the climate resilience of wildlife throughout the Central Valley.
Jodi grew up in Maine and has always had a passion for the outdoors and conservation. Her passion has led her to work on several avian ecology and conservation projects from Maine to California, including, investigating the current and emerging threats to common loon population, monitoring the effects of logging on avian species richness, working to restore northern bobwhite populations to ranchlands, and leading a constant effort banding station to better understand the fall migration patterns of owl species.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new areas for hiking, birding, and wildlife photography. Her favorite bird is the Black-capped Chickadee. She also enjoys drawing, runs a small pet portrait business, and is a certified California Naturalist.
