Kiersten Gibizov

Kiersten brings a love and respect for nature that she shares with visitors to Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center in Cedar Hill, TX. She has a long career in wildlife and nature education spanning a twenty-year period of being an outdoor educator. Before joining Audubon, Kiersten was a zookeeper at various zoos in Texas and Arizona where she was a keeper and outreach educator. At Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center she creates programming that engages the public and highlights Audubon's mission of protecting birds and the places they need. She also guides volunteers, creates partnerships, and leads the animal care team for the center's animal ambassadors. When Kiersten isn't working you can find her cemetery birding with her husband and creating stunning stained glass pieces for friends and family.
