About

Lucia Parra Arce is a conservation professional with a Master of Environmental Management from Yale School of the Environment, and a background in Environmental Engineering, focused on Biodiversity. Originally from Peru, she is fluent in Spanish and has developed strong skills in creating accessible and engaging scientific communications. She has applied these skills while working with diverse non-profits and conservation organizations in the United States, Rwanda, and Peru.

Lucia brings experience in community-centered environmental project management, community engagement and empowerment, and scientific communication. She focuses on designing conservation strategies that create benefits to both ecosystems and local communities. She is dedicated to integrating socio-cultural and traditional knowledge into conservation and restoration efforts, ensuring that these projects are inclusive, just, and culturally respectful.
