Shanae Dana

Shanae is the Center Resource Coordinator at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, where she oversees daily operations, supports staff in a variety of ways, and manages landowner partnerships. She began her journey at the center as an Education Intern through the federal work-study program, was hired on as a full-time educator at the conclusion of her internship, and later transitioned into her current role. 

A South Side native, she graduated from Texas A&M University–San Antonio. She is passionate about the mission of bringing all people to nature and works to create inclusive and welcoming spaces for people from all walks of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and discovering new coffee spots.
