Wyatt joined the Audubon in August of 2024 as the Senior Habitat Management Coordinator for the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center in Denton, NE. He executes onsite habitat management, maintains public amenities, and assists in providing technical and hands-on support to private landowners and partners.
Originally from Minnesota, Wyatt received a B.S. in Regional and Community Forestry, and a minor in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Previously, he worked as a wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Fisheries and Wildlife Service. He then transitioned to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he worked as the Habitat Management and Prescribed Fire Education Coordinator.
Wyatt now lives in Lincoln, NE, where he supports his local agricultural and wildlife communities as a member of the local TriCounty Prescribed Burn Association and volunteering with other local conservation groups. He is also an avid outdoorsman, spending many of his weekend’s bird watching, fishing, and hiking.
