About

Yvette Stewart is the Community Outreach Manager for Audubon Texas and runs the Texas Leaders in Conservation (TLC) program. The goal of TLC is to introduce high school students to careers in conservation and experiences in the great outdoors. The program focuses on connection, leadership, and conservation action. Yvette comes to Audubon Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the University of Rhode Island, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Texas, and recently started on a Master of Science in Professional Counseling, with the hope of bridging environmental education and mental health. Yvette is a former AmeriCorps member and a passionate birder. She is most happy when she’s helping people to learn and grow in the great outdoors!
