Zayda Ortiz is the Operations Manager at Audubon California, where she supports Audubon California staff in optimizing organizational efficiency and driving successful outcomes. With a strong background in the nonprofit sector, she has extensive experience managing teams, overseeing complex projects, and ensuring smooth operations. Passionate about making a positive impact, she thrives on solving challenges and contributing to meaningful initiatives.
Her commitment to service began in high school when she volunteered extensively with TreePeople, fostering a deep love for community and environmental work. Previously, she worked at the Center for Independent Living, leading a project that connected disabled youth to coastal lands.
Outside of work, Zayda remains dedicated to her community through her church’s nonprofit, Impact, where she mentors and leads 1st–3rd graders from Oakland through children's church, academic enrichment, and sports.
