Audubon has been working for decades in Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri, protecting birds, and the habitat they need. Our advocacy work drives policies that protect critical habitats, secure water for birds and communities, and advance climate resilience.

We back science-based policies that:

  • Address the impacts of climate change on communities, wildlife, and landscapes

  • Defend public funding for the environment

  • Protect water and land, reducing contaminants and stopping habitat fragmentation

  • Promote native plants and trees

  • Support underserved and climate-vulnerable communities
