Rachel Layko

Dangermond Fellow

Rachel Layko is a Dangermond Fellow working in Miami, Florida and Williamsburg, Virginia. She graduated from the College of William & Mary in May 2019 with a degree in biology and a minor in marine science. Layko enjoys sharing her love of nature through education and volunteered as an Eco-Ambasador at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and also tutored for four years. Layko looks forward to leveraging geospatial tools to enhance data analysis and to share conservation stories during her time as a Fellow. When she is not working, Layko loves running, playing volleyball, watching hockey and going to the beach.
