Alecia Smith is the Senior Communications Coordinator at Audubon California, where they lead digital communications, including social media, the website, and the newsletter. Based in Ventura, California, Alecia has spent years combining their passion for photography, storytelling, and conservation. They previously served as the Outreach Coordinator for Ventura Audubon’s Shorebird Recovery Program, where they documented shorebirds, engaged communities in coastal bird conservation, and mentored interns and volunteers in community science efforts. Outside of work, they enjoy photographing shorebirds along the coast, sharing the wonder of birds with others, and unwinding with friends over a chocolate croissant at their favorite café.
