Introducing Audubon Hatched: Your Year of Birding in Review

What is Audubon Hatched?

Starting on December 19, 2022, you will be able to access Audubon Hatched from the pop-up on your homepage in the Audubon Bird Guide App.

After you click that pop-up and watch your video, you will be able to access Audubon Hatched by clicking on the button on the homepage.

You will also be able to access Audubon Hatched anytime after December 19 by navigating to ‘My Audubon’ and scrolling to ‘Audubon Hatched.’

What does Audubon Hatched Include?

Audubon Bird Guide App users who have logged 10+ bird sightings in 2022 will see:

  • Their total number of sightings logged this year

  • The total number of sightings Audubon users have logged this year

  • The average number of sightings logged by an Audubon user this year

  • Their top three most sighted birds this year 

  • The top three most sighted birds for all Audubon users this year

  • Their top three most sighted bird songs/calls this year

  • The top three most sighted bird songs/calls for all Audubon users this year 

  • A map with the locations of their bird sightings in US states, Canadian provinces, and Mexican states this year 

  • The location of Audubon users’ bird sightings in US states, Canadian provinces, and Mexican states this year

All Audubon Bird Guide App users will see: 

  • The total number of sightings Audubon users have logged this year

  • The average number of sightings logged by an Audubon user this year

  • The top three most sighted birds for all Audubon users this year

  • The top three most sighted bird songs/calls for all Audubon users this year 

  • A map with the locations of Audubon users’ bird sightings in US states, Canadian provinces, and Mexican states this year

Can I download my Audubon Hatched video?
Yes! You can download your Audubon Hatched video by navigating to My Audubon and scrolling to Audubon Hatched. 

Can I share my Audubon Hatched?
You can share by using the ‘Share’ function at the end of the video. Share the video out to family and friends on social media using the hashtag #AudubonHatched.

Can I delete my Audubon Hatched video?

If you would like to delete your Audubon Hatched video, you can do so by navigating to My Audubon and scrolling to Audubon Hatched. Then click on the button on the left. This is a permanent action and we will not be able to retrieve the video for you. Please only delete your Audubon Hatched video if you are sure. 

What do the different colored texts mean under the Sound Familiar screen?

  • The green highlighted text is the bird species sound that is currently playing.

  • The dimmed text is for a bird species that does not have a sound in the Audubon Bird Guide App.

  • The white text is for a bird species’ sound that is not playing at the moment.

I don’t see Audubon Hatched. Do I need to update the app?
Yes! You will need the latest version of the Audubon Bird Guide App to access Audubon Hatched.
