Alexis Baldera

About

Alexis has 15 years of experience working in coastal sciences and environmental management. She currently leads Audubon Texas's coastal program and manages a portfolio of bird rookery islands from Galveston Bay to the Lower Laguna Madre. Prior to joining Audubon in 2019, Alexis worked to restore the Gulf of Mexico from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil disaster as a scientist and program director at Ocean Conservancy. She holds a master’s degree in environmental management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science degree in marine and freshwater biology from the University of Texas at Austin.
