Elizabeth Sorrell
Elizabeth Sorrell is responsible for deploying digital tactics that reach and engage target audiences around Audubon's conservation priorities as well as deepen the relationship with members, advocates, and supporters. She serves as a lead strategic voice for defining Audubon’s brand, content, and constituent experience across the contemporary digital media ecosystem and has successfully positioned Audubon as a thought leader in these areas. She also regularly develops, plans, and executes pilot projects and partnerships that help Audubon reach new audiences.
Prior to joining Audubon, Elizabeth spent five years at The Karpel Group, a boutique PR and marketing firm specializing in outreach to LGBTQ+ audiences and grassroots campaigns, where her portfolio included MTV, Paramount, Henson, among other clients. Elizabeth has spoken on topics including social media, visual storytelling, and digital acquisition at SXSW, Yale University, the Nonprofit Technology Conference, the Social Shake-Up, and beyond. In her free time, she volunteers as a marketing advisor to small businesses and nonprofits, including the EcoHealth Alliance, where she was the founding chairperson of their Young Professionals Council and piloted several successful programs that engage young professional audiences.
