Eric Forbes is the Senior Communications Coordinator for Audubon’s Rockies and Southwest regions.
Eric has a deep passion for conservation, science communication, multimedia production, and documentary film. He has worked on video projects with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on spinner dolphins in Hawaii, a Colorado soil health documentary series, and a research study on bear attractants in Teton National Park. Eric has 62 curated film festival selections, screenings, and awards for documentary and narrative films that he directed, produced, edited, and served as the director of photography. Eric is excited to bring his expertise in storytelling and science communication to Audubon.
When he’s not working, he's on the trails running or mountain and gravel biking. He also enjoys paddling, fishing, and of course, birding! Right now, Eric’s favorite birds to watch are the Lewis’s Woodpeckers, with their acrobatic darting and driving in vibrant bursts of red and green outside his front porch in Durango, Colorado.
