About

Kate is a community conservation fellow at the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary in Tiburon, California. Her position involves a combination of habitat restoration, community engagement, and environmental education. This includes maintaining Richardson Bay’s nursery and garden, helping with biological surveys and data processing, and assisting with Richardson Bay’s summer youth programs and other community outreach initiatives.

Kate grew up on Cape Cod, where she attended Audubon nature camps for many summers. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2025, and studied environmental sciences and geospatial technologies. Since graduating, Kate has worked for the Vashon Land Trust on Vashon Island, in Washington, where she performed different stewardship duties and building projects, and worked on an organic farm. She has also worked on an Oyster Farm on Cape Cod. In her free time, Kate likes swimming, reading, playing soccer, and exploring new trails and beaches.
