About

Traci Bruckner is the Senior Manager of Policy at Audubon Great Plains, where she leads strategic policy development and legislative advocacy focused on habitat conservation and restoration, conservation funding, renewable energy and climate. With 25 years of experience in policy leadership, Traci has worked at the intersection of conservation, agriculture, and rural development, shaping policy at both the state and federal levels through her roles in nonprofit advocacy and philanthropic organizations. 

Before joining Audubon, Traci served as Chief Policy Officer at the Western Landowners Alliance, and previously as Senior Director of Policy for Sustainable Agriculture and Food System Funders, a national network of philanthropic organizations and investors committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and food systems. 

Traci has also contributed her expertise at the national level, including serving as Chair of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Beginning Farmer and Rancher Advisory Committee, where she worked with her fellow committee members to advise the Secretary of Agriculture on strategies to support the next generation of producers. 

She holds a Bachelor of Science in political science and sociology from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
