Christmas Bird Count Species Trends

Curious about what Christmas Bird Count (CBC) data show? Audubon scientists have used CBC data to calculate population trends over the last few decades so you can track how your favorite birds have fared! Two CBC Trend Viewers are available where you can view and download population trends calculated for different regions: the U.S. and Canada (~450 species) and Latin America and the Caribbean (~50 species).  

While CBC data is available for public viewing, users wishing to download, analyze, or utilize CBC data assets must agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and review the appropriate README file and documentation (U.S. and Canada trends README or Latin America and the Caribbean trends README). If you plan to use CBC data assets in research, peer-reviewed publications, or public reports, you should notify Audubon of your intentions using the online data use form.
