Formerly the Communications Associate for the Restore the Mississippi River Delta Coalition, Halle Parker increased public awareness surrounding the wide range of problems impacting Louisiana's disappearing coast and moved the discussion around science-based solutions forward. Halle came to Audubon after reporting on environmental issues as a journalist in Virginia and southeast Louisiana, winning several awards for her writing and photography as she worked to share stories within communities. She graduated from Longwood University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in communication studies.
