First we’ll cover the main park’s little pond surrounded by mature trees, then follow the paved path along the bottom of rock cliffs, and finally skirt Middleton Wash via a somewhat rough dirt trail into desert habitat. This small area offers multiple habitats and turns up some unique birds Target Species: Resident Cooper’s Hawk, roadrunner, Verdin, wrens, and a variety of migrating sparrows. If time permits we may also go to Halfway Wash.
