A Northern Cardinal’s Wintry Mix

Northern Cardinal

This frosty Northern Cardinal captures the spirit of what makes this such a beloved species. The state bird of seven states, this winter resident’s brilliant red plumage livens up snowy landscapes. Northern Cardinals can be found in southeastern Canada across the eastern U.S. and down through much of Central America.
