Renée Wilson

Renée Wilson joined the Audubon Florida team in May 2019. As Senior Communications Coordinator, she works with staff around the state to create and manage content for the Audubon Florida website and social media channels. She also assists in the production of printed and electronic publications.

Renée serves as the media liaison for Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. In addition to managing Corkscrew’s website and electronic newsletter, she creates content and engages with media outlets to raise awareness of the Sanctuary’s research, stewardship, and education efforts.

She held PR positions for a construction company and an interior design firm before taking the position of Research Translator with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. She worked in communications there for 19 years before joining the team at Audubon.

As a Florida Master Naturalist Program graduate and instructor, Renée loves the southwest Florida environment and enjoys nature photography, birdwatching, boating, and snorkeling.
