This event is part of the Red Cliffs Audubon Spring Blitz series. More information can be found at https://www.redcliffsaudubon.org/bird-walks-n-field-trips/2026/4/24/2026-spring-blitz. "The Enepitsi Trail in the Santa Clara River Reserve is an easy-to-moderate hike along the Santa Clara River bordered by the cliff ridge often called Anasazi Ridge. It has excellent riparian habitat as well as desert brush. The out-and-back trail is on BLM land next to private property. From the meeting location, you will climb a dirt single track up a modest 100-150 feet and then follow an old dirt pioneer wagon road down along the river. Numerous petroglyphs, which can be easily seen without leaving the trail, are scattered on boulders near the river as well as near the top of the cliff ridge. Binoculars will suffice for a general petroglyph viewing as well as bird spotting. Participants should plan on walking up to 2 miles on trails. Moderate difficultly. No shade. No restrooms. Trip Leader is Bill Compton.
