In the spring and summer it produces yellow, orange, or red flowers and evergreen foliage that is covered in a sticky secretion. This plant prefers full sun to partial shade, and can tolerate a variety of conditions, including drought and cold, as well as a wide range of soil types as long as they are well-drained. Blooming from March to August, Orange Bush-Monkey-Flower is a dependable source of nectar for hummingbirds.
