This perennial bunchgrass has fine-textured leaves that grow in large tufts. Seedheads rise above the tuft reaching 2 feet high. Pinkish brown flowers grow out of these stems and are notable for their fragrance. This grass grows in full sun, and in dry, sandy soils.
