"NEW TOUR - This tour will explore the areas around the Hop Valley Trailhead and up to the Wildcat Trailhead. We'll start in sage, juniper, and oak for some of the most reliable habitat for Lazuli Bunting, Black-headed Grosbeak, desert sparrows, Ash-throated (and other) flycatchers, and Plumbeous Vireo. We'll check out the S-curve for Grace's Warbler and then the Wildcat Trailhead for Bluebirds, Chipping Sparrows and nuthatches. Virigina's and Black-throated Gray Warblers can pop up at any of these stops.
There will be up to 50 miles of driving (round trip) on paved roads while pulling into dirt parking lots. Plan to walk up to 4 miles throughout the day on uneven dirt paths.
