Also known as Indian Cup, this perennial gets its name from its wide leaves that join at the stem to form a cup that holds water and attracts birds. It grows 3 to 6 feet tall, though can sometimes reach up to 9 feet. Yellow flower heads with 20 to 30 rays bloom during the summer, attracting bees and butterflies.
