Waxy-Leaf Beardtongue, or Waxleaf Penstemon, is a perennial herb that grows up to about 1 foot in height. Also aptly nicknamed Smooth Blue Beardtongue, it produces clusters of blue flowers in May and June that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and songbirds. This plant grows best in full sun and dry soils.
