"Confluence Park is a 344-acre natural park managed by Washington County located on the border between Hurricane and LaVerkin at the confluence of Ash Creek, LaVerkin Creek, and the Virgin River. The park sits at the bottom of large basalt cliffs and is secluded from nearby communities, giving it a primitive feel. Confluence Park is comprised of primarily riparian habitat, with many large cottonwood trees. Participants should plan on up to 2.5 miles total of easy to moderate walking on gravel and dirt surface. Meet up location is Confluence Park parking lot (37° 12' 33.408" N 113° 16' 59.268" W) Pit toilet at parking lot. Field Trip Leader: Donalda Day
