Allegheny Monkey Flower, or Square-stemmed Monkey Flower, is a herbaceous perennial that typically grows 1 to 3 feet tall and blooms open-mouthed, lilac-purple flowers from June to September. It grows best in partial shade and moist to wet soils, and can also tolerate deer.
