Jonathan C. Slaght is the Russia and Northeast Asia Coordinator for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). He manages research projects involving Blakiston’s Fish Owls and Amur tigers. He;s currently under contract with @fsgbooks to write a book about his adventures studying owls, and writes a regular guest blog for Scientific American about his work in Russia titled “East of Siberia.” Slaght's nature writings and scientific research have been featured on BBC World Service, the New York Times, Smithsonian, among others.
